According to GaGa Daily, the singer has been asked to be the publication’s new fashion and art writer. Together with illustrations made by Gaga’s fans, her first column where she will share her thoughts on fashion and give an exclusive look into her world, will appear in the issue available on newsstands May 12th.

Like a river, she follows him until the sea. The story can be interpreted in different ways, she might be a ghost of his past that is haunting him or that she is death and gives him 'the kiss of death' at the end.

Beauty Amidst Destruction

La Corrente is an award-winning 3D mosaic by Julie Richey, who created a sculpture of a dress out of marble, glass smalti and seashells. La Corrente, or The Current translated, appears to float in spite of the heavy materials used in its making.

"La Corrente is about beauty amidst destruction," says Richey. "It was created during the Gulf oil spill and it alludes to the many destructive forces, both man-made and natural, that creep in with the current." There's also the Night Shirt, a wall relief mosaic that depicts San Francisco by night.

Iris van Herpen x United Nude

This is the second time United Nude collaborates with Iris van Herpen for her spring/summer 2011 collection. The collection, called ‘Crystallization’, consists of two versions of a sculptural high-heeled platform ankle bootie. One is made with intricate weave of leather sculpted around the shoes and the other is draped with chains. They're all handmade, because of the complexity of the shoes details. If you want a pair, you'll have to move quick because they're limited to only 100 pair. They'll cost $995 and will be available in black, off white and tan.

The latest news about the super-hyped Batman - The Dark Knight Rises, squashes all rumors about Brandy Norwood playing catwoman. The official news is that Anne Hathaway has grabbed the role and I am excited to see how Nolan interprets this amazing character and how Anne portrays her. Lets just hope that Anne doesnt watch Halle Berry's Flopwoman movie for inspiration. It will be hard to top Michelle Pfieffers AMAZING catwoman but I have hope. Ballerinas all over the world must be rejoicing right about now and we all have the hot Natalie Portman and the Rodarte sisters to thank for that. Rodarte designed unique ballerina outfits for Portmans latest film Black Swan and the dresses are amazing. I have yet to see the new film and I have high expectations since psychological drama is my favorite genre. This bike was designed by Eun Gi Kim for the Seoul cycle design competition, organized by designboom in collaboration with Seoul Design Foundation.

"'Horsey' is an attachable bicycle ornament/accessory which makes one's bicycle look horsey! The 'horsey' package includes wooden ornaments (horsey shape body), metal parts, and screws. the manual is very simple so that anyone can easily arrange it according to one’s needs. through this 'horsey' project. I wanted to give a special look to bicycles so that people would care about cycling not only as transportation but also as a lovely pet."

I want one, I've always wanted a pony. Sadly I never got one, and what's more sad is that I rarely cycle. Love it anyway!

Mirror mirror on the wall

A mirror that invites interaction with fairy tales. "This mirror is for children and allows them listen as well as interact with the story. They become the main character and begin to see themselves surrounded by the elements of the story," says the dutch designer Romy van den Broek.

"They interact with the story as the mirror functions as a touch screen and uses motion capturing software. For example, the children gather stones for Hansel in the forest, and this allows the story to continue. The mirror also allows the possibility for two children to play with the story together. The form of the mirror invites the children to step into the world of the story."

H&M opened a flagship store in Amsterdam at the end of last year and it was inaugurated in a way that the guest wouldn't forget; 3D projection. Though it has been used previously by others, for example Ralph Lauren, it still managed to impress the audience. I think the projection represented H&M's vibe really well, with the colours and the playfulness. Enough of my ramblings, check it out.

So the year of 2010 is closing and there have been so many things that has happened. We started this blog in May with the purpose of posting things that we find interesting.

We now like to present you with the best of LTW of 2010:

Fashion
The designers that caught our attention this year was Haider Ackermann and Manish Arora. Haider, who we love for making pyjamas fashionable, recently announced that he's going to stop doing mens wear. Nontheless, we will still be anticipating his work in the future.

We had the opportunity to meet Mr. Arora this year and it was amazing. He must be the most optimistic and well spoken person we've met. His passion for his work is endaring and gave us a positive energy. Therefore, we look forward to his upcoming collection.

We would also give Sarah Buron some love, who is brilliant as she is carrying on the legacy of McQueen. The beautiful dresses she's has created are stunning.

Architeture

Stephane Malka's Auto-défense was one of the most interesting idéas of this year. Stephane took the monument Arch de la Defénse and created a fast way of rebuilding a growing modern city.

Art/Exhibition

Murakami's exhibition in Versaille was something that we really liked. The combination of pop art and historic architecture was beautiful and we like to see more of that in 2011.

Interior Design

United Nude's flagship store in Shanghai that was designed by creative director Rem D. Koolhaas. The interior is dark but has strong colored LED lights that puts the focus on the shoes.

Cool
The 3D wall projection in Amsterdam. Need I say more?

We've recived much love from the readers and will continue with the blogging into the new year.

Carine Roitfeld resigns

Yesterday (friday), Carine Roitfled announced that she's resigning from French Vogue at the end of January 2011.

From the New York Times article:
“It’s 10 years that I’m editor of the magazine,” Ms. Roitfeld, one of the most influential editors in the fashion business, said in a telephone interview. “I think it’s time to do something different.”

She informed Jonathan Newhouse, the chief executive of Conde Nast International, that she wished to pursue other projects. “I have no problem with Jonathan, and he understood me very well,” Ms. Roitfeld said of her ideas for the magazine, which featured bold photography and expressed a cool, physical, erotic fashion ideal.

Ms. Roitfeld often did the styling for photo shoots. “I had so much freedom to do everything I wanted. I think I did a good job.” But she added, “When everything is good, maybe I think it’s the time to do something else.” She expects to complete issues through March. She said she was not sure what she would do after that. “I have no plan at all,” she said.

I wonder what's next for her, maybe Tom Ford is her future?

Jaguar's latest C-X75 concept car is a celebration of design, innovation and class. The C-X75 exhibits the power and elegance of a supercar while showcasing advanced technology that makes it super efficient and environmentally friendly.

"As with previous Jaguar models the interior is designed completely around the driver. The seats are fixed into the frame so upon entering the vehicle a flip of a switch brings the entire steering wheel, instrument panel and pedal box toward the driver for optimal positioning. The aeronautical theme is continued in the cabin, the started switch is positioned on an overhead control panel and the gear shift is modeled after the throttle control from a fighter jet. The information panels are also air craft inspired with a 3D simulated heads up display.
